Hi, I’m Venice and I am a senior at the University of Chicago Laboratory High School in Chicago, Il. This past year I was a Rising Voices Fellow for the Jewish Women’s Archive, where I published several blog posts exploring Jewish feminism. I am also a founding member of the Chicago Southside BBYO Chapter, Darom. I am a board member for my school’s entomology and ping pong clubs and enjoy debating at Ethics Club.
I’m often found hanging out with friends at the pickleball courts, at the lakefront enjoying the skyline, or rowing down the Chicago River. I am almost always listening to music, and I always include Mac Miller on my playlists. When it’s colder in Chicago, you’ll find me on the court with my school’s varsity basketball team or cuddled up with a book. While I often reach for cheesy romance, you can also catch me with a gothic fiction novel.
