Hi! My name is Tilly Raij (she/her), and I’m a junior at Winter Park High School in Winter Park, FL, where I am in the International Baccalaureate program. I serve as a senior editor for the yearbook and participate in the Jewish Student Union, Letters for Hospitality club, IB Senate, and Young Democrats. At my synagogue, I volunteer as a madricha (teaching assistant) at the Hebrew school and serve as the youth liaison for our Sisterhood group. I have been published in The Winter Park Voice, The Community Paper, Jewish Telegraphic Agency, and J Life, Orlando’s Jewish lifestyle magazine. Besides writing, another passion of mine is singing in HaZamir: The International Jewish Teen Choir, with which I have performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
In my free time, I love to read, listen to a variety of music, and practice my Spanish to impress my grandparents. I’ve loved to read and write since I was little, and I’m very fortunate to have two loving parents, a younger brother, and the most amazing friends who support me in everything I do. I’m excited to see what jGirls+ accomplishes this year!
