Hi! I’m Eliya Read (she/her), and I live in Ottawa, Canada’s capital city! I go to Canterbury High School, a school that is well-known in Ottawa for its arts programs. I am in the visual arts program, where we get to try almost every type of mixed media art, and I’ve discovered I particularly love ceramics and photography. I love to explore the natural world and capture moments in my art! With all my love for the arts, I’m so excited to be a photographer for jGirls+ magazine.
I am also an athlete and have played on my school’s ultimate frisbee, Nordic skiing, and softball teams. Outside of school, I am on an all-girls baseball team where I play outfield and second base. I am also a regular face at my synagogue and am now the page turner.
