Artist’s Statement: This series works through the idea and practice of translation. I have used this project to explore the difficulty of capturing music in visual media. I chose to investigate the ways in which varying degrees of abstraction might more faithfully attempt that feat. Additionally, I used several media in order to get a more full picture of how music might be expressed in the visual.
